Professional Teachers Union of Zambia (PROTUZ) and Lusaka Goldsmiths University (College) (LGU) sign an MOU.
Signing for the university is Mr. Besa the Principal/Vice Chancellor of LGU and signing for PROTUZ is Dr. Musenge the General Secretary of PROTUZ. Witnessing the signing ceremony is Mr. Mathews Nkhata, Deputy General Secretary Administration, Mr. Fred Mbulwe, Director Research and Ms. Wamunyima Mulife, Assistant Director Research.
In the MOU among other, Lusaka Goldsmiths University (College) offers a 25% scholarship to members of PROTUZ to pursue programs of their choice being offered by LGU, including but not limited to Bachelor of Laws LLB, Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Social Work, Bachelor of Banking and Finance, Bachelor of Computer Science, Bachelor of ICT and Education as well as other education related programs. Students will be admitted to learn online or physically. Signing the MOU, the Principal/Vice Chancellor stated, as follows: 'We are indeed delighted that after a number of meetings held to discuss the possibility of partnering, for LGU to offer quality but affordable tertiary education to PROTUZ members, today brings joy to both parties that we are finally signing the MOU. We now look forward to actualising the MOU and to a mutually beneficial relationship between our two institutions'.
