Lusaka Goldsmiths University Senate has adopted the following classification criteria.

| B+ | 70 – 74% | Merit |
| B | 65 – 69% | Credit |
| C+ | 60 – 64% | Upper Pass |
| C | 50 – 59% | Lower Pass |
| D | 45 – 49% | Fail |
